Antioxidants - PMC Specialties Group - Lubricants - Oils

IONOL® CP, IONOL® 220, IONOL® 103 and IONOL® 99 are highly effective antioxidants for multigrade Iubricants, automatic transmission fluids, differential fluids and turbine oils.

Also IONOL® antioxidants have shown to increase the useful life of many industrial oils, reducing equipment downtime. Applications include hydraulic fluids, transformer oils, spinning oils and metal rolling and cutting fluids.

  • IONOL® CP
    1. C15H24O
    2. IONO®L CP is a white, crystalline antioxidant and belongs to the group of non-staining, sterically hindered phenols. IONOL® CP is mainly used for the stabilization of polymers which come into contact with foodstuffs and/or drinking water, polyols, polyurethanes, adhesives and hot melts for a possible contact with foodstuffs, odorous substances and/or perfumes and printing inks.
    3. It is also known as Butylated Hydroxy Toluene (BHT), and it is a high quality antioxidant, typical purity > 99.8 %.
  • IONOL® CPC
    1. C15H24O
    2. IONOL® CPC is a molten BHT form supplied in drums or bulk containers. It is ideal for all applications where the handling of liquid BHT is preferred as it avoids the solution step when crystalline BHT is used. IONOL® CPC is suitable for the stabilization of printing inks, lubricants, fuel and FCC streams as well as hydraulic and transformer oils.

  • IONOL® BHT Technical Grade
    1. C15H24O
    2. IONOL® BHT Technical Grade is a white or yellowish, crystalline antioxidant and belongs to the group of non-staining, sterically hindered phenols. IONOL® BHT Technical Grade is mainly used in fuels, lubes, printing inks and biodiesel applications.

    3. IONOL® BHT Technical Grade is not tested in line with the recommendations of the FCC and is therefore NOT suitable for food contact applications.

  • IONOL® 220
    1. C29H44O2
    2. IONOL® 220 is an antioxidant from the group of non-staining, sterically hindered phenols. The main applications for IONOL® 220 are the stabilization of industrial oils such as lubricating, turbine, transformer and hydraulic oils. Further applications of IONOL® 220 are adhesives, petroleum hydrocarbon resins and polyolefins. Due to its low thermal volatility, IONOL® 220 is also particularly suitable for oils exposed to high operating temperatures for long periods. IONOL® 220 is approved by the FDA for some applications.

  • IONOL® 220 AH
    1. C29H44O2
    2. Oxiris offers a dust free version of IONOL® 220 called IONOL® 220 AH which significantly improves the products handling characteristics. IONOL® 220 AH is an antioxidant from the group of non-staining, sterically hindered phenols. The main applications for IONOL® 220 AH are the stabilization of industrial oils such as lubricating, turbine, transformer and hydraulic oils. Further applications of IONOL® 220 AH are adhesives, petroleum hydrocarbon resins and polyolefins. Due to its low thermal volatility, IONOL® 220 AH is also particularly suitable for oils exposed to high operating temperatures for long periods. IONOL® 220 AH is approved by the FDA for some relevant applications.

  • IONOL® 103
    1. C17H29NO
    2. IONOL® 103 is a pure grade of 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol. It is ideal for crankcase lubricants, diester synthetic turbine oils and heavy-duty industrial oils.

  • IONOL® 99
    1. C14H22O
    2. IONOL® 99 (2,6-di-tert-butylphenol), and is an antioxidant approved by most international specifications for civil and military aviation fuels. It is also widely used in lubricants.

    3. IONOL® 99 conforms to the requirements of British Defense Standard 91/91 also listed as RDE/A/606.
